Lokeren is surrounded by four city parks, the river the Durme crosses the town centre and guides you to the nature reserve Molsbroek, the numerous cycling routes, the borders of the Moervaart and Zuidlede, the quiet places of Daknam and Eksaarde. The Donklake has ideal  surroundings for hiking, also discovering the old Schelde arm.
